☘️ (Day 1) – Inclusion Through Art, Oristano, Sardinia

Artmonia had the privilege of providing training for the Erasmus Plus Project Inclusion Through Art in Oristano, Sardinia, bringing together a vibrant group of participants from Italy, Türkiye, Poland, France, Romania, Spain, and Bulgaria. The first day was a journey of connection, creativity, and shared experiences, as participants explored both their individuality and their place within the collective.

The day began with an immersive activity using colorful fabrics, where movement and expression wove an unspoken tapestry of understanding. Through The Art of Me exercise, participants engaged in psychodramatic techniques such as role-taking, role-playing, and role reversal—stepping into each other’s perspectives to cultivate empathy and deeper self-awareness. This process of discovery and creative expression laid the foundation for a strong, inclusive community.

The energy of the first day reflected the essence of Inclusion Through Art: breaking barriers through creativity, embracing diversity, and finding common ground in the language of artistic expression.

☘️ (Day 2) – Inclusion Through Art, Oristano, Sardinia

On the second day of the Inclusion Through Art project, the journey turned inward as participants explored the profound question: “Where is home?” Through expressive arts techniques, they delved into their inner landscapes, uncovering personal narratives and creating safe spaces to connect with their deepest resources.

This introspective process naturally evolved into collective creation as participants came together to build a shared artistic universe. Every stroke, shape, and movement became a symbol of their interconnected experiences—an evolving tapestry where diverse perspectives merged into harmony. The day was a powerful exploration of grounding, connection, and the realization that art has the unique ability to transform strangers into co-creators of a shared reality.

☘️ (Day 3) – Psychodrama & Shadow Theatre 🎭

The third day of the Inclusion Through Art project was a deep exploration of inclusion, brought to life through the transformative practice of psychodrama. Participants stepped through a symbolic magic door into surplus reality, a space where the unseen and unspoken could take form.

Within this stage of limitless possibilities, inner worlds surfaced, unexpressed emotions found a voice, and hidden narratives unfolded. This process became a bridge—connecting personal experiences with the shared human story, weaving together vulnerability, empathy, and a sense of belonging.

In the afternoon, the focus shifted to exclusion. Participants formed groups to explore the many ways exclusion manifests in society, using discussion, creativity, and collaboration to craft artistic performances. These performances went beyond raising awareness—they envisioned solutions, offering a glimpse into a world shaped by understanding and inclusion.

The day culminated in a powerful theater festival, a celebration of transformation where art became a bridge from exclusion to inclusion. Through raw and authentic expressions, participants proved that creativity and empathy have the power to unite us all.

☘️ (Day 4) – Nature-Based Expressive Arts & Contemplative Photography 🌿

The fourth day of the Inclusion Through Art project unfolded in harmony with nature, as participants immersed themselves in nature-based expressive arts. A silent path walk became a meditative journey, leading to the creation of a Collective Mandala of Gratitude—a living artwork where each element paid tribute to the connection between self, others, and the natural world.

In the afternoon, contemplative photography and storytelling invited participants to capture moments of meaning and weave them into personal narratives. As the day progressed, these individual reflections merged into a collective story, a testament to the power of community art in fostering shared understanding and unity.

Guided by nature and creativity, the day was a reminder of the beauty found in connection and collaboration—where art becomes not just a form of expression, but a bridge between individuals and the world around them.

☘️ (Day 5) – Perspectives, Photo Voice & Storytelling 📸

The fifth day of the Inclusion Through Art project was a celebration of storytelling through a powerful photo voice art installation. The day began with participants engaging deeply with street photographs, reflecting on the emotions and perspectives these images evoked. Each photograph became a mirror—revealing personal experiences while fostering shared insights.

The interview walk provided a profound opportunity for connection, as participants paired up to explore each other’s stories in an intimate and reflective exchange. These conversations evolved into the creation of photo voices—a fusion of imagery and narrative that gave expression to their shared humanity.

It was a day of deep listening, mutual understanding, and the transformative power of art to connect and communicate beyond words. Through photography and storytelling, participants wove a tapestry of diverse perspectives, proving once again that creativity has the power to bridge differences and illuminate the human experience.

☘️ (Day 6) – Including the Local Community: Photo Voice

On the sixth day, the theme of “Echoes of Community” took center stage, as Inclusion Through Art extended beyond the group to actively engage with the local community. Participants, organized into small groups, conducted interviews with community members, capturing their stories, perspectives, and lived experiences. These heartfelt conversations became the foundation for photo voices—a powerful fusion of photography and narrative that illuminated themes of inclusion, diversity, and shared humanity.

The day culminated in a profoundly moving photo exhibition, where the collected stories and images were presented as a visual tapestry of the community’s spirit and resilience. Each photograph, paired with its narrative, became a testament to the power of art in fostering connection and amplifying voices that often go unheard.

This collaborative effort not only celebrated the richness of local experiences but also deepened the group’s understanding of inclusion as a dynamic and multifaceted process. The exhibition stood as both a creative achievement and a poignant reminder of art’s ability to echo the heartbeats of a community.

☘️ (Day 7) – Art Collage & Final Celebration 🎨

On the final day of the Inclusion Through Art project, participants embraced a new artistic medium: art collage. Each person crafted their own “Book of Sardinia”—a deeply personal reflection on their journey throughout the program. These collages became visual diaries, encapsulating experiences, insights, and moments of transformation, weaving together memories into a lasting creative expression.

The day—and the project—culminated in a vibrant art festival, a celebration of the collective creativity and spirit of inclusion cultivated over the week. Each group presented sensational art performances, drawing on the project’s themes while finding innovative ways to engage and involve others.

This final gathering was more than a closing event—it became a living embodiment of the project’s ethos, blending individual expression with collective engagement. It was a fitting conclusion to a journey that highlighted the transformative power of art to connect, inspire, and include.
