As part of an international teacher training program, Artmonia facilitated a dynamic workshop on The Art of Leadership, using psychodrama and expressive arts techniques to explore the fluid nature of leadership in education. With teachers from Italy and Romania, the training delved into the interplay between leading and following, emphasizing the adaptability required in both the classroom and beyond.
Through role-playing, movement exercises, and creative expression, participants stepped into different leadership perspectives, reflecting on their strengths and challenges. Psychodrama allowed them to embody leadership experiences, uncovering unconscious patterns and experimenting with new approaches. Meanwhile, expressive arts provided a means to externalize insights, translating emotions and reflections into movement, images, and storytelling.
This experiential process deepened participants’ self-awareness, confidence, and relational intelligence, equipping them with flexible and empathetic approaches to guiding others. By embodying both the leader and the follower, they gained a greater understanding of adaptability in leadership, enhancing their ability to foster collaboration, inclusion, and student engagement in their teaching practices.
